Testimonials
“Training with Krista has opening my eyes to the belief that I can do anything. After having back surgery, I didn’t have faith in my body in what it was capable of. Not only was the physical training that Krista designed for me believably easy, but the mental energy that pours out of her was the key factor to my strength and mobility. She will always be connected to my life.”
“Krista is a true champion. In training, she’s very detailed with step-by-step demonstrations, instructions, and planning. Once I finally got the form and technique down it was amazing to see how fast I was progressing in gaining strength. Can’t wait to see how far I can go. I am ecstatic about being able to work with a power lifting legend.”
“I am writing this testimony to express my utmost admiration and gratitude for Krista Ford’s
exceptional training expertise in powerlifting. Under her instruction, I have experienced
remarkable growth and achieved my powerlifting goals within a span of just 13 weeks.
Krista has proved to be an excellent mentor throughout my training journey. Her patience and
dedication in guiding me through the intricacies of powerlifting have been invaluable. She
possesses the remarkable ability to provide precise and clear instructions, ensuring that I fully
comprehend each technique and movement.
Under Krista’s guidance, I discovered a latent strength within me that I never knew existed. Her
mentorship and training methods have been instrumental in unleashing my full potential in
powerlifting. I have achieved milestones that I once deemed unreachable for myself, thanks to
her unwavering support and expertise.
Furthermore, Krista’s explanations of the physiology and mechanics of powerlifting have had a
profound impact on my journey through my medical training and nursing practice. When I
practiced as a nurse, I routinely used her lessons in helping me perform heavy maneuvers, such
as transferring patients, in the clinical setting. The techniques she passed onto me gave me the
confidence that I could safely carry out my duties without hurting myself or others. In addition,
her teachings would eventually help me significantly enhance my understanding of advanced
concepts in subjects such as osteopathic manipulation, human anatomy, physiology,
orthopedics, trauma, and athletics. I found myself better equipped to grasp these complex
topics, allowing me to provide better, comprehensive care to my patients.
Not only do I continue to utilize the foundation of Krista’s teachings in my personal fitness
routine, but I also draw upon her lessons when counseling my patients in medical practice. Her
instruction has empowered me to offer valuable insights and guidance in various aspects of their
health and fitness.
In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough the profound impact Krista Ford has had on my
powerlifting journey and medical training. Her expertise, patience, and clear instructions have
been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals and grasp complex medical concepts more
easily. I wholeheartedly recommend Krista as a remarkable trainer and mentor to anyone
seeking to excel in powerlifting.”
“This year I trained for and competed in my first powerlifting meet. I’ve competed in bodybuilding for over 28 years so this was a different experience for me. Having a world class coach like Krista Ford was an amazing experience. She took the guess work out of it and helped eliminate any mistakes from the start. There’s a lot to be said about doing things the right way from the start. I won the meet with a perfect day. I went 9 attempts with 9 successful lifts on all three disciplines. Cross training in powerlifting and bodybuilding has taken my physique to another level. I owe it all to Krista.“
“At age 66 (Tom), with multiple fractured vertebrae and degenerative disk, I never thought that I’d be competing in powerlifting. With Krista’s wisdom and guidance, not only did I learned how to lift correctly, but my 35 years of back pain has disappeared. Krista displayed the innate ability to break down each lift into its basic components that were easy to understand and learn. Her crawl, walk, run approach promotes success and confidence while minimizing the risk of injury.
At age 60 (Liz), having had breast cancer, back surgery and hardware added to my foot, Krista assured me that these things would not hold me back. She was spot on! Her passion and love of the sport was evident the first time we spoke with her. Wanting to pay it forward, she shared her knowledge and expertise to teach us the proper techniques for each of the disciplines. She has a very detailed, yet simplified way of explaining things to you. Getting in tune with her clients to understand them makes her extremely effective in her training methods. She gives praise where it is warranted and constructive criticism for things to work on. If you pay attention to her teachings and execute as instructed, your technique will be perfect, and you will succeed.
After only ten short weeks of training, Krista was so confident in what she had taught my wife and me that she flew out from Gorgia to Utah to personally handle us at our first powerlifting meet. Her outstanding reputation was evident as she was immediately recognized at the venue as the true, high caliber professional that she is. Krista took care of all the details, warm up weights, timing, communicating with the officials, attempt weights, wrapping knees, chalk & powder application…all the things that would have overwhelmed us. Krista had warned us that not only were people going to be amazed that senior citizens can powerlift, but that we displayed some of the best technique of the day and that this was only our first competition. We received multiple compliments from the judges, officials, and fellow lifters.
Thank you, Krista, for guiding us in making some great memories. Tom went 9 for 9 and Liz went 8 for 9, both achieving first place finishes. In addition, we each set three State records: squat, bench, and deadlift. Liz and I are looking forward to training with Krista for our next meet…Nationals?
Let the good times roll!”
